Goodman has invested a total of £12 million into the park to date. Work has included a new major roundabout and access point from the A5, as well the introduction of a new bus route between the park and Hinckley town centre, which is half a mile away.
Already home to leading companies like Syncreon, DPD and CAT logistics, Hinckley Commercial Park is a popular location for national and international logistics businesses, with close proximity to the M1 and the M6. All six of the units at Hinckley Commercial Park are currently occupied and on the completion of Hinckley 165, development of the park will be finished.
Charles Crossland, Managing Director of Goodman UK Logistics, said: “We are delighted to announce the details of our latest speculative development in the UK. It’s the first dedicated distribution facility we have undertaken this year, which is in response to the upturn in the UK economy and the lack of supply of Grade A commercial property of this kind in Leicestershire.”
“This development demonstrates Goodman’s ability to react quickly to the needs of our customers and industry trends. We have a proven track record of managing the development of prime logistics property and are confident that we will see strong interest in the facility as it nears completion.”
“We’re very much looking forward to seeing Hinckley 165, and in turn the rest of the Hinckley Commercial Park, completed in November. We’re incredibly proud of this park and the services it offers to our customers.”
North Rae Sanders and Savills are acting as joint agents for the site on behalf of Goodman.
