Sustainable approach to development

Being ‘green’ extends further than just the colour of our logo.

Innovation and environmental sustainability in our developments is an important consideration for Goodman and our customers. We work closely with our customers throughout the development process to integrate a range of sustainablity initiatives to maximise efficiency and minimise environmental impact. These include:

  • External shading to office windows and curtain walling to reduce solar gain and glare
  • Curved roof profile incorporating rooflights to maximise natural daylighting to the warehouses
  • Complete reuse and recycle of onsite demolition material
  • Solar hot water heating
  • Electric car charging bays
  • Rainwater harvesting and sustainable drainage system
  • Grey water recycling
  • LED lighting throughout offices and warehouses, with daylight sensing and motion control

A member of the UK Green Building Council, Goodman is committed to supporting the Council in its mission to dramatically improve the sustainability of the built environment by radically transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained and operated.

Our greatest opportunity to drive sustainable outcomes and mitigate environmental risks is during the development process.
